Schools

Charleston Township prides itself on the three, excellent school districts found within the township. Each school district offers high level learning, award winning educators, and highly esteemed administrators. Information on the districts can be found on their individual web-sites listed below:

The township also has many historical school buildings that are no longer in use, but have an immense historical value. Those schools include:

Lawler School Section 10, in what is now Fort Custer Military Reservation
School #3 Section 20, south side of Miller Drive (Territorial Road), just east of intersection with Michigan Avenue (1918 topo)
Grey School Section 22, north side of L Avenue between 42nd and 44th Streets (1918 topo)
Harrison Section 26, southwest corner of Mercury Drive and 46th Street (Hultmark; 1918 topo)
Toad Hollow School Section 32, north side of MN Avenue, between 38th and 39th Streets (1918 topo)
